HOW IS VEGA MILK PRODUCED
High quality flour is the base of our product and it’s essential to select the finest for our grinding process. Thankfully we sort our flour in the ‘bread basket of Europe’, and are able to get our hands on the best. This highly affects the quality of our final product. You can be sure we select our crops from the best as it complies with our baby food production standards.
PREPARATION OF THE “BASE” PRODUCT
The first stage in processing is the steaming of flour. We do this by blending the flour with hot purified spring water in our vacuum mixer.
To achieve smooth consistency with our products we break down cereal starch found in flour into fractions that dissolve in water. From here we add natural enzymes into the blend. Enzymes split in this process and provide the natural sweetness of our products.
Because we use professional production lines, we are able to ferment the base product, something which is hardly possible to complete at home.
Once fermented, the bleind is separated in the decanter (solid flour and nut particles are detached). From this we get the smoothness of the product. Then the blend is heated to 90º degrees, this kills off all harmful bacteria and deactivates the enzymes.
At this stage we add various natural components into the blend. These include fruit juices, purees, cocoa powder and others. In addition to all these fresh ingredients we add the high-quality local sunflower oil.
And this is where we have our advantage over others.
The final product goes through ultra-pasteurization, a treatment that heats the beverage quickly and flash cools it. This process purifies the product, and more importantly retains all-natural micronutrients and vitamins.
Once ultra-pasteurized the final product is packed under aseptic conditions in a completely isolated and sterile environment. Vega Milk is packed in a hermetic multilayer Tetra-Pak package of 1L or 250 ml.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
Because of our high quality raw components, modern technological heat treatment and reliable packaging, the product has a stable shelf life of 12 months at temperatures from 0º to 25º degrees. Please note that the product should be stored in a refrigerator for no longer than 3 days after opening.
We transport our products in accordance with the Worldwide Transportation Policy. Our storage units are equipped with temperature regulators to maintain necessary climate for our products.
